We finished early with our trip to Neff's Canyon due to water runoff and so we looked for another hike we could tackle in the area from our guide (60 Hikes Within 60 Miles: Salt Lake City). Ferguson Canyon was just a hop, skip and a jump from Neff's and was listed as an 'easy' hike, so we went for it.
It looks like they did a little work on the trailhead since our guidebook and added this nifty new parking lot (as opposed to parking on the street). There's my amazing wife next to our blue wagon.
The trailhead starts out as a gravelly road.
At this time there are blue and yellow wildflowers mixed with sage all over the hillsides leading up to the canyon.
The water is seeping out of the ground here to join the river.
I think this awesome rock jutting out along the trail looks like a giant fist.
This canyon is a rock climber's paradise, with lots of cool surfaces to climb. Not me.
Caught this moth sunning itself on the trail.
Top of the canyon. Lots of water falling here. We can hear it more than see it.
Secret passage! Reminds me of LOTR.
This was a way cool hike. I loved the water and the canyon features.
Happy trails!
